    Job Objective

    Responsible for providing support to Doha main base, out station operations and to support Engineering Management by oversight of all aspects of engineering, to ensure efficient, cost effective and safe activities are maintained at all times.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    Description

    • Single point of contact with OEM’s for co-ordination of requests for repair schemes and with regard to all technical matters pertaining to modifications, technical queries, troubleshooting & product improvement.
    • Single point of contact with Design Agencies for co-ordination and provision of technical data in relation to modifications required for Company aircraft i.a.w QCAA certification and regulation requirements.
    • Participate in the investigation of aircraft incidents and accidents as requested, aircraft incidents and component failures, and to recommend necessary actions to prevent re-occurrence.
    • Function as leads on projects that include & are not limited to : aircraft/component procurements, registration changes, aircraft surveys, modification surveys, reliability improvements, troubleshooting regimes, communications with clients & 3rd parties.
    • Function as leads on systems specific to disciplines such as avionics, A & C, engines covering GHC’s fleet regardless of type.
    • Function as leads for back-office fleet type teams (comprising of airworthiness compliance & junior engineers) for resolution of system & fleet issues.
    • Review all Technical Literature issued by Aircraft and Engine Manufacturers, Vendors and Airworthiness Authorities and recommending necessary action to embody improvements, to ensure Flight Safety and continued Airworthiness of Company aircraft.
    • Assist in monitoring of computer trend systems (TSE in charge)
    • P&WC CAMP engine health monitoring
    • Exceedance monitoring system and Turbine Tracker
    • Any other monitoring systems that may be introduced
    • Respond to all technical queries generated from the Company Main Base of Operation and from operations away from base, as applicable.
    • Review all Company Incident Reports, Voyage Reports, MOR’s & MEMS as assigned and take the necessary action to prevent a re-occurrence. This function is to be carried out in conjunction with Director of QCM&HSE, CA Manager, Technical Services and Reliability Manager and where appropriate, the manufacturer or repair agencies and any other agencies as applicable.
    • Identify and recommend action with regard to defects likely to compromise Flight Safety.
    • Review the reliability of components in order to reduce or eradicate problems affecting those components, which realise an unacceptably high failure rate, at minimum cost to the company.
    • In liaison with the Technical Services and Reliability Manager, review and monitor all component including power section and reduction gearbox repair quotations for cost and work scope and identify adverse trends.
    • Maintain an accurate record and filing system to ensure that any relevant information regarding past and present projects is readily identified for consideration in any new arising.
    • Liaise with third party customers on technical issues as and when required, and in conjunction with the Director of Engineering and Maintenance Manager, produce quotations for third party work.
    • Create, review & analyses departmental technical procedures/documents relevant to the job description.
    • Control and update aircraft MELs (Minimum Equipment List).
    • To carry out any other appropriate duties as detailed by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager or Technical Services and Reliability Manager.

    • Reliability Improvements - Number of modifications/inputs/solutions to resolve system / part reliability issues (accepted by OEM/Implemented).
    • AMP improvement - Number of AMP improvements to resolve operation issues based on reliability data.
    • EPAC vs AMP - Number of EPAC data analyses recommendation resulted in AMP improvement.
    •                 AD/ASB circulation - Average number of days consumed to complete the AD/ASB circulation.
    • Non-mandatory maintenance data circulation - Average number of days consumed to complete the non-mandatory maintenance data circulation.

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills

    Qualifications:

    • Licensed A&C or Avionics Engineer (B1, B1.3 or B2) with a minimum of 7 years’ experience, preferred but not necessarily on Company Type(s) and holding the relevant ratings.

          or

    • A minimum 4 year Bachelor’s in Engineering Degree in any of the following disciplines: avionics, aerospace, mechanical, industrial, electronics/electrical /mechatronics/computer engineering with 3 years’ experience working with CAMO/MRO/P145.

    Experience:       

    • Minimum of 2 years in a similar position.

    Job-Specific Skills:

    • Experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management environment.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    Description

    •  Works under general supervision or unsupervised to safely layout, fabricate and install parts, equipment & fabricated equipment on aircraft and ensure compliance with company design specs, quality and airworthiness standards.
    •  Thorough working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (cutting, bending, forming and drilling of aircraft materials
    •  Ensure all fabrication repairs modifications etc meet acceptable airworthiness standards.Fabricates repairs and install aircrafts parts/components/equipment IOW acceptable airworthiness standards
    •  Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints layouts etc. analyses plans, drawings,specifications, patterns layouts and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of sheet metal assignments.     Description

    • Conducts assembly, disassembly, inspection, repair and overhaul of Dynamic components. (Rotors / Controls/ Actuators, landing Gear)
    • Configures, maintains and operates test equipment / ground support equipment.

    Job Objective

    HUMS-Technicians report directly to the Aircraft Supervisor (Line) and are responsible for carrying out the assigned HUMS data download tasks on AW139 and AW189 helicopters in GHC Doha base fleet.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    Description

    • Performing the HUMS data download for all helicopters equipped with HUMS in conjunction with the post flight inspection.
    • Ensure that completed tasks are certified in the relevant documentation to standards specified in Company procedures.
    • Perform any other non-aircraft related duties as may be requested by the Aircraft Supervisor (Line).
    •  Check GHC Falcon system for any outstanding HUMS related Engineering order
    • Comply with all issued and forecasted relevant engineering forms (ENG 205) at the applicable (due) time.
    • Review all Outstanding Exceedances and faults that appears on the Heliwise for all the helicopters after data download is carried out, review the Cl trends, and follow the relevant engineering forms (ENG 208). Issue & send (by email) to the HUMS Data Analyst relevant engineering forms (ENG 204) for any newly detected exceedance.
    • Post compliance with any relevant engineering forms (ENG 205) and, as indicated in the form, the Aircraft Supervisor must inform the HUMS Data Analyst with the compliance by completing the relevant engineering forms (ENG 204) using the same reference number and a consecutive letter for revision status as viewed on the HUMS index ENG 206.
    •  Send the completed relevant engineering form (ENG 204) via e-mail to the HUMS Data Analyst updating GHC AW139 HUMS Data Form Index ENG 206 for any newly issued engineering form (ENG 204).
    •  Report to the HUMS Data Analyst any discrepancy on the Heliwise
    • Generate AW139 Daily HUMS Report. Email to Maintenance Manager, Senior Maintenance Supervisor, Line Supervisor, CAMO Manager, Production and Maintenance Planner and HUMS Data Analyst. This can be utilized for daily handover.
    • Download the HUMS after each ground run and/or test flight of the aircraft and inform HUMS Data Analyst after the download.  This is to confirm that no step change on the HUMS Cls’ occurred after maintenance.
